- Products and Pricing
Every effort is made to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications and prices are accurate. However, errors may occasionally occur.
We reserve the right to correct any pricing, product or description errors and to cancel or refuse any order affected by such errors.
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without prior notice.
- Acceptance of Orders
Submitting an order through this website does not constitute acceptance of that order.
An order is only regarded as accepted once it has been reviewed and accepted by Boek en Pen Handelshuis.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any lawful reason, including but not limited to pricing errors, stock shortages, suspected fraud or incorrect product information.
- Product Availability
While we strive to maintain accurate stock levels, products may occasionally become unavailable.
Should an item become unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer to discuss the available options, which may include:
- waiting for new stock;
- selecting an alternative product;
- cancelling the affected item; or
- receiving a refund where applicable.
- Payment
Payment must be received in full before an order is prepared for collection or dispatched, unless otherwise agreed.
Payments are processed through authorised payment service providers.
- Special Orders
Products ordered specifically at the request of a customer may require a deposit before the order is placed with our supplier.
Deposits paid for special orders are non-refundable should the customer cancel the order or decide not to proceed, except where required by South African law or where the product is defective.
- Collection and Delivery
Orders may be collected from our store or delivered by courier, depending on the option selected during checkout.

- Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa.

Perishable products, including but not limited to dried fruit, confectionery and similar food products, cannot be returned unless they are defective, damaged or otherwise required by law.
- Limitation of Liability
Boek en Pen Handelshuis will make every reasonable effort to ensure that orders are processed correctly and delivered promptly.
However, we cannot be held liable for delays, losses or damages caused by third-party courier companies or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where problems arise, we will assist customers in resolving matters with the courier wherever reasonably possible.
Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights afforded to consumers under South African law.
- Privacy
Customer information is collected solely for the purpose of processing orders, providing customer service and complying with legal obligations.
Personal information will never be sold to third parties and will only be shared where necessary to process payments, deliver orders or comply with legal requirements.
